State gets nod from Centre for C2S flagship programme: Khaunte

The Goa government will be launching C2S (Chips to startup) flagship programme in various colleges through NIT and IIT very soon, with the government granting its sanction for the same for five years, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte announced.

“In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s plans to transform India into the next semiconductor hub, the Ministry of Electronics and Information has sought applications from 100 academia, R&D organisations, start-ups and MSMEs under C2S. From Goa, NIT and IIT have applied for it and have been accorded sanction, khaunte said.

During his visit to Delhi recently, Khaunte had said that he had a meeting with Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and held a detail discussion on the programme.

“Now the whole world is technology driven and we need to come into that domain, else there will be a technology gap created and we will be in dark,” he added.

Therefore he appealed the students to make best use of resources available and tune up in line with technology thereby giving no space for the gap to come up.
