Tiatrist Jr Rod passes away

Prominent Konkani tiatrist from Cortalim, Julio Hilario Purificacao Rodrigues, popularly known as Jr Rod died in Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) on Monday.

According to his friends, the tiatrist who was around 65 years of age was sick for quite some time and was admitted in ICU of GMC, for few days. His father Minguel Rod was a great dramatist that Konkani stage had ever produced. The Cortalim-Quelossim village panchayat had named a village road after him in his honour.Meanwhile, the tiatr fraternity has condoled the death of the noted tiatrist.

PANAJIEconomic Offences Cell (EOC) of the Goa Police on Monday filed a 742-page chargesheet before Chief Judicial Magistrate, Margao against Nilesh Raikar (43), prime accused in the Kamakshi Forex Pvt Ltd, his mother Rekha and wife Nilima, the other two directors of the company.
