A total of 12 huts were engulfed in flames at a labour camp in Bambolim following explosion of two cylinders. Fortunately, the swift response of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading and ensured no casualties occurred. 
The incident occured around noon when 12 out of the 140 huts located in the labour camp caught fire. Upon receiving the distress call, the Fire Control Room promptly dispatched fire tenders to the scene.

Despite the intensity of the blaze, the presence of two fire brigades enabled firefighters to effectively contain the fire and ultimately brought the situation under control. The fire personnel are still monitoring the scene to ensure there's no reoccurrence of fire.
