Varca youth dies in Canacona accident

motorcycle rider succumbed to injuries he had sustained in a motor accident, when he collided with a car at Khola-Canacona. According to Cuncolim police, the accident occurred on May 22, when the motorcycle rider, one Pradeep (21), a resident of Varca, collided with a car at Khola-Canacona. Both the deceased and the pillion rider were thrown off the motorycle and suffered injuries.

 The motorcycle rider succumbed to the injuries on way to the hospital. Meanwhile, in another accident reported at Chinchinim, another motorcycle rider, one Nelson (56) succumbed to his injuries at GMC, Bambolim, where he was undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained in a self-accident reported on May 7. According to Cuncolim police, the accident occurred when the deceased lost control over the scooter he was riding and fell off the two-wheeler. He was rushed to the GMCin Bambolim where he was undergoing treatment. Cuncolim police said he died of his injuries while there. Cuncolim police have registered an offence under Section 174 of IPC. In another accident at Madel, a motorcycle rider and the pillion rider were injured when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car at Madel. According to Margao town police, the motorcycle rider, one Joseph, resident of Navelim, was riding the motorcycle with Conford, a resident of Navelim, as pillion. As a result of the accident, both were thrown off their bike and sustained injuries in the process. Margao town police have registered an offence under Sections 279, 337 of IPC and Section 185 of MV Act.

Bicholim ryots call out to government for help
