OLD GOA
Citing that the Chimbel sarpanch and secretary failed to initiate timely action on his complaints against illegalities, RGP leader Ajay Kholkar has filed a complaint with the vigilance department against the duo.
In his complaint, Kholkar pointed out that he had lodged three complaints, one on the building of a wall by PWD by encroaching into tenanted land, and two complaints regarding illegalities in the 20-point programme at Indira Nagar.
“However, the sarpanch did not use stop-work-cum-order notice under section 64 (1) (j) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994,” Kholkar stated while adding that only in one complaint regarding illegal construction at Indira Nagar, a vague stop-notice was issued to the violator and that too after the same was placed before the fortnightly meeting.
“In the stop notice, there is no mention of the section under which the notice is issued. Also, the dates have been wrongly recorded,” Kholkar added while alleging that it appears to be deliberately done to favour the violator.
Meanwhile, The Goan tried to contact the Chimbel sarpanch for his reaction but to no avail.
