Youth dies in Verem accident
SALIGAO: A 19-year-old motorcycle rider from Jharkhand, but residing at Ambekhan-Verem, died, while the pillion rider sustained minor injury, after their two-wheeler skidded off the road near Prabhu Garage at Ambekhan-Verem.
According to Porvorim Police, the motorcycle rider, M D Arshad, along with pillion rider, Irshad Mohammad Arshad, also a native of Jharkhand were proceeding on their two-wheeler (GA-07-A-1149) when it skidded off the road at Verem on Thursday.
Police said Arshad sustained grievous head injury, while the pillion rider sustained minor injury. The motorcycle rider succumbed to injury while undergoing medical treatment. Police is investigating the case.
