The bodies of two other missing persons were recovered at Keri beach on Monday. While one body was recovered in the sea in the same area, the other body was located near the Tiracol fort.
The four deceased have been identified as Shakina Khatun (17), Mohammed Ali (24), Aleem Mohammed (18) and Yesin Mohammed (14).
Earlier on Sunday evening, the lifeless bodies of two persons had been brought ashore. The four deceased persons were a part of a large group that had come from Mapusa and Candolim to Keri beach for a picnic.
The group was headed towards Arambol from Keri, when a set of four retreated to a rocky area ostensibly to take selfies. The sudden wave then swept them into the sea.
A member from the group, Asif, who rushed into the waters in a bid to save his friends suffered injuries and was admitted to the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
