PONDA
Three persons were injured in a road mishap when one two-wheeler driven by one rider allegedly in an inebriated condition struck another two-wheeler in Ponda on Wednesday afternoon.
Both riders of one vehicle who were allegedly inebriated at the time later created a ruckus at the Sub District Hospital in Ponda.
The incident took place when Santosh Mutappa Chavli (32) and Sunil Khetri, who were on one two-wheeler are reported to have taken the wrong side of the service road and collided with an oncoming two-wheeler, seriously injuring the rider Jamalsab Tigdi (42) of Amrai Colony.
Chavli and Khetri, who also sustained injuries in the mishap, were allegedly intoxicated and began abusing the 108 ambulance team, doctors at sub-district hospital, nurses and police.
Ponda police later detailed Chawli into custody and sent him for a check.
