In a strategic move ahead of a public meeting in Baina, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo met with former minister Milind Naik and seven municipal councillors to garner maximum support from the Mormugao constituency.

Addressing speculation surrounding Naik's allegiance following MLA Sankalp Amonkar's affiliation with the BJP, Sawant emphasised the importance of solidarity within the party. Sawant's visit to Mormugao and Vasco constituencies has been part of the BJP's concerted efforts to secure a favourable outcome in the upcoming elections.

Expressing his commitment to the BJP, Milind Naik reaffirmed his loyalty, citing a longstanding association spanning 15 years representing the Mormugao constituency.

Despite facing defeat in the last assembly elections, Naik emphasised his unwavering support for the BJP and its vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Naik dispelled any doubts regarding his political alignment, stressing the unity among leaders and party workers in the Mormugao constituency. He reiterated the collective goal of ensuring the BJP's stronghold in the region, emphasising the imperative of a BJP-led government at the centre.

The meeting between Sawant, Dempo, and Naik signalled a concerted effort to consolidate support and strengthen the BJP's position in the Mormugao constituency.
