The Cuncolim police has registered an offense under the Arms Act against a resident of Ghodkem-Balli on Sunday.
Cuncolim police station in-charge PI Diego Gracias informed that the police has registered the offense under section 3 read with section 25 of the Indian Arms Act.
He said the 56-year-old person was found in possession of a country-made dismantled firearm without make, adding that the person was found in possession of the firearm without valid arm license from a competent authority.
The police is investigating to find out how the dismantled firearm came in possession of the person from Balli.
