CM urges caution at water bodies

Expressing grief and sadness over two incidents in Nanora, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has appealed to parents and youth to take all precautions while going to bathe in water bodies.

“Such incidents are heart-wrenching and a great loss and trauma to the families. People should be careful while entering water bodies. The government has provided arrangements and has made rules, but parents should be responsible and children should take precautions to ensure their safety while visiting water bodies,” said Sawant, in an appeal to public.

The chief minister said the government will implement a special campaign to prevent such incidents from happening again.

“Many youths in the State visit water bodies, but today's incident involving the two youth is painful and it is for the parents as well as the youths to take all precautions while going into the water, especially in unfamiliar surroundings.”
