A male body was found dead at Bogmalo beach early Monday morning.The incident came to light after a few fishermen and locals noticed the unidentified body in a secluded area of the beach.
The locals alerted panch members and the police was notified. A Vasco police team went to the site and carried out a preliminary examination but the identity of the deceased has not been ascertained as yet.
It is also unclear if the person had been working on a fishing trawler or whether he had been living in Bogmalo at a rented premise.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigation is underway.
