The third meeting of the Mhadei-PRAWAH (Progressive River Authority for Welfare and Harmony), scheduled on Thursday was postponed and is likely to be held after the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Director for Water Resources PB Badami said the meeting was postponed and the new dates would be declared shortly. The third meeting of the Mhadei-PRAWAH was scheduled in Delhi. The incumbent in-charge of the Central Water Commission (CWC) Navin Kumar was supposed to chair the meeting, following the superannuation of PM Scott.
Sources informed that the meeting was postponed following a request from Maharashtra State. The State requested to hold the meeting post the festive season.
The PRAWAH held its first meeting in Goa while the second took place in Bengaluru.
