A migrant labourer from Jharkhand, Chakra Bahishal, died after falling from a fishing vessel anchored at the Cutbona fishing jetty on Sunday. He was declared dead upon arrival at the South Goa district hospital. Police have conducted a panchnama and registered the death as unnatural.
In a separate incident, Cuncolim police reported that the body of a person feared drowned in Canacona was recovered from Cabo de Rama on Sunday. PI Diogo Gracias of Cuncolim police stated that the body, found in a rocky area of Cabo de Rama, was airlifted by a Coast Guard chopper.
