Vithoba Mhalkar (23) of Ramnagar-Karnataka but residing at Cumborda-Verna died in an accident at Cumborda on Wednesday.
According to information from Verna police, Swapnil Solekar (22) rode a motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Old Verna Panchayat to Cumborda.
On reaching the internal road, he lost his control of the motorcycle near Raul Wines and fell on the road, causing injuries to himself and the pillion rider, Vithoba Mhalkar, who succumbed to injuries at the District Hospital Margao.
A case has been registered under Sections 279, 304A of IPC and Verna PSI Sanket Talkar is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Diago Gracias.
