The government will on July 15, which coincides with World Skilling Day, offer an approximate 10,000 job seekers with apprenticeship positions in both government and private sectors. These youth will receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 13,000, based on their qualifications.
According to the national dashboard for the current financial year, there have been 1,154 apprentices in Goa and as of June 23, there are 4,846 apprentices currently undergoing training, while 4,260 apprentices have already completed their training. As on date, a total of 21,361 apprentices have been certified.
Although 994 establishments have registered on the portal, only 213 of them are currently active.
