This is with respect to the news report 'DGCA issues show cause notice' (TGE, Jan 10). The 2 show cause notices issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) viz , one for the shameful incident of a drunk passenger urinating on a 70 year old co-passenger on the Paris-Delhi flight on November 26, and the second for 2 incidents on the Paris-Delhi flight on December 6, for the unruly behaviour of a drunk man in the aircraft toilet and another for urinating on the seat and blanket of a passenger , are a blot on the functioning of Air India and the unprofessional handling by the staff on duty , as well as the delay in reporting of the incidents. The world is shocked that such atrocious acts of misbehaviour by drunken elements are permitted on the aircraft of an airline that boasts of 'Maharaja' service and treatment on its flights.Surely there will be second thoughts by passengers before booking flights on Air India in future. Secondly, what example are we setting to the world by our disgraceful and uncultured behaviour in public.
