The transformer enclosure opposite the Inox theatre housed in the Osia complex, Margao, is in shambles. Right on the open gate is a sign in red which warns of 11,000 volts, but the pillbox shutter is off its hinges and lying in the open. The transformer is rusted, and the area is overgrown with grass. This constitutes a clear and present danger to citizens and also leaves the installation open to sabotage. Will the Goa Electricity Department take note and rectify things before a mishap occurs?
