Don’t provoke religious sentiments!

Over the past few weeks, Goans are witnessing quite a few cases of individuals/groups in some way or the other hurting religious sentiments of community and then in retaliation, some members of that affected community taking law into their own hands, making the said instigator publicly apologise and even in some cases assaulting them!

As for me, I oppose anyone insulting any religious community.

Understandably there are laws to keep public order and should anyone want to take action against the offender then the law should be followed instead of individual/group vigilantism!

Also, I find it strange that many go all out to protect their “God” but remain mum when politicians, real estate developers, land sharks destroy God-created environment, forests, water bodies, hills and thousands of trees! Does it not make sense to also channel our anger/action against those destroying God’s amazing work on our planet?

Many leaders seem to have their mentors in the most backward States which encourage vigilantism! Our politicians need to have a policy to address this subject with maturity, so that Goa does not turn those respective backward mentality States!
