Joshimath is red alert for all high altitude residents

We have been witnessing huge and unprecedented landslides on Joshimath mountains in  Uttarakhand  state. Result of the landslides is badly affecting lives of general public at large. Can anyone imagine who is responsible for such abundant devastation?  Is TCP applying contour plan norms while issuing construction licences?  According to contour plan norm, one cannot build anything on slope of the hill having more than 25 degree angle. This is a red alert  to all Indians who are residing in high altitudes. Indeed it is lesson to the TCP and Forest Departments of India to take cognizance of constructions. It's the duty of forest department not to issue trees cutting licenses on the slopes of hills. So government must try to evacuate all hillsides by rehabilitation as the the natural countdown has began. TCP should not permit constructions on slopes of hills, stop all such constructions if ongoing. Forest Department must be proactive to stop forest trees cutting on hillsides immediately. Prevention is better than Cure.
