Two prominent former Congress leaders along with a few others (who are currently in the BJP and are supporting the ruling government in the state) were seen publicly exhibiting their loyalty towards the RSS for the very first time to somehow impress their party bosses from New Delhi and with the hope of enjoying some more 'ache din' in the BJP government by donning the Sangh uniform at a rally addressed by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat in Panjim recently. If these power hungry former Congress leaders had so much fascination for this RSS all these years then why they had taken shelter in the Congress party in the first place in Goa? We Goans saw only one former Congressman from the minority community, Mauvin Godinho attending the RSS meeting at Campal in normal attire this time. Now, who knows? Tomorrow, we might see another former Congressman also exhibiting his loyalty towards the RSS. I think that the former GPCC president Girish Chodankar needs to do a lot of answering to Goans as to why such opportunists/RSS loyalist leaders were promoted by him at the cost of secular leaders in the Congress party.
