The poor and the middle class of Delhi were taken for a royal ride by BJP. Modi himself promised them "jahan jhuggi wahan makan." But now their houses are being demolished left right and centre.Taken in by the rhetoric they voted out AAP. Arvind Kejriwal made a prophetic appeal to these very same voters, that BJP will destroy their homes but the voters were lulled into complacency as they saw that BJP was at the Centre and BJP coming in the state would in fact make life easy for them, their houses would be converted into brick and mortar houses, illegal shopping complexes would be regularised and the business community that has always supported BJP, will stand to benefit. Now all of them are getting royally penalised. Modi's promises have become vapour, with houses demolished the voting rights are extinguished too, making these voters redundant for BJP. Talk of killing two birds with one stone. The fact that no media channel is covering this story except a few independent journalists makes it obvious as to who is directing these demolitions.
