Calangute mob incident is a shocker

A massive mob of ‘ShivPremis’ were seen openly creating a ruckus outside the Calangute Panchayat Ghar for almost a day on June 20 over the panchayat’s recent adopted resolution (which has now been kept in abeyance due to this state-managed political drama) to remove a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj installed near the Calangute police station main road on June 3 and demanding an apology from Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira for the same.

Couldn’t they advise the District Magistrate of North Goa to imposedSection 144 in and around of Calangute area right in advance on that fateful day to keep that unruly mob at bay and after knowing that they would create such a ‘humgama’ sooner or later over the Calangute Panchayat’s recent adopted resolution on Shivaji’s statue at Calangute?
