If exit polls are something to go by , then, Wednesday's exit polls of the recently concluded Karnataka Assembly polls, is bound to bring cheer to the Congress party , with 8 out of 10 exit polls predicting a win for the Congress. Besides, It will serve to boost the Congress party's sagging morale and revive its hopes of making a comeback at the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as the leading Opposition party. On the face of it however, it appears that Rahul Gandhi's nation wide 'padyatra' has ultimately borne some fruit and improved the party's tally, after its dismal performance in the 2018 Karnataka Assembly elections, with a mere 80 plus seats. Nevertheless, with only a day to go before the counting of votes on Saturday, counting of one's chickens before they are hatched, appears to be safe and sure bet, as of now.
