The death of an innocent child Vani Khanapur on Tuesday in Mormugao has shocked people of Goa. Goa state government hospital are safe for a medical emergency and critical treatment but swift treatment should be provided to the patient. We have well qualified doctors in our government hospitals but if they feel they cannot handle the case they should discharge the patient immediately and advise private hospital treatment as they could administer the treatment required for healing and health recovery rather than put someone's life in a critical situation. Sending the critical patients to GMC involves issue of time so doctors should recommend the nearest private hospital to save time. It is our precious life and decision should be taken by people to save our lives rather than depend on government hospitals and blaming doctors. Finally doctors are hands of God and they would do their best to save the life of a patient immediately.
