This is with reference to the news titled “Busy Bastora junction gets much needed traffic island” published in the Goan Everyday dated November 14, 2023. Kudos to the Village Panchayat of Bastora for completing the dream of the Panchayat by developing/ beautifying the key Moira junction which was the urgent need for controlling traffic in the area. The other panchayats should also take cue and follow in their footsteps. On the flip side, reading the whole news likely it could be assumed that it was a mixed bag of oneupmanship and boastfulness.
