The field of education and information technology is progressing by leaps and bounds, and it is available at our fingertips. Even a layman can access detailed information and visually witness developments in our country and the world. Nowadays, it seems we are becoming more illiterate, even after serving in high positions for many years, and we do not mind displaying it in public. Many closed issues are repeatedly brought up, perhaps for the survival of vested interests.
EVM is one such issue; none could prove fraud even at the international level, and the Supreme Court has given a clear verdict, yet the issue resurfaces just when elections are around the corner. Electricity is needed day and night, but there is strong opposition to handling coal, setting up power stations, or related projects. Railroad expansion is objected to, but there are demands for train halts, reservations, and travel in big luxury cars. There is a mad rush for 5G networks without supporting expansion and infrastructure.
Vested interests are keeping so-called agitators employed to organise marches, protests, rallies, and gather crowds for meetings, etc., for their ulterior motives. Perhaps they intend to pull us back to primitive ages with bullock carts, etc. It is high time better sense prevails and utilises the energy and time for constructive purposes for the development of the state and eventually the nation.
