Kudos to Chimbel villagers on their protest

Kudos to the Chimbel villagers, for the massive protest against the Unity Mall and more so for going to the local Santa Cruz MLA's house in large numbers; where from what I understand the MLA came under immense pressure. Goa is being destroyed in many places mainly for unnecessary and environmentally destructive projects which I think, is under the direction of senior BJP ministers no doubt; but what is troubling is that local MLAs such as Santa Cruz MLA are not fighting for the rights of people of his constituency. Hence in light of the same, it is extremely important for people from other places where destructive activities are taking place, to learn from courageous Chimbel villagers, and start putting pressure on their local MLAs to act for the people, particularly those who are from the BJP party and those who defected to the BJP for their personal benefit.
