Styling himself more often than not as the Man of Steel Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that he shudders when thinking about the Emergency is showing that the steel is made of shoddy stuff since the episode occurred almost 50 years ago.
Instead of quailing on events of half a century our prime minister needs to show more backbone in dealing with the burning issue of Manipur where the ground situation is worse than whatever was seen during the Emergency.
