The recent mega coverage on the "Save the Soil" by the Goa Government appears to be a huge hypocrisy to me! For so many years now, genuine Goan activists have been fighting/protesting to the deaf ears of the current government to stop Goa ministers from concretising/destroying fields and other areas of rich soil cover! Has the government even acknowledged these activists, leave alone stop the destruction of soil rich areas by its own ministers ? How many agricultural areas are being spoiled by sewage, due to the apathy by the government.
Did it really need a person from outside to exchange MOU with the government! Saying that okay now MOU is signed, will the government finally stop concretisation of fields/soil rich areas, destruction of hills/related ecosystems and stop coal transportation/spillage via the railways particularly through green/soil rich villages of Goa? The government appears to rank very high on false propaganda/hypocrisy on so many things; including now the "Save the Soil '' movement!
