Selena Gomez is all set to star in a new musical drama billed as a "Latina Empire", and the Freeform series is already in development, with Gomez also co-executive producing. The show will be set in a low-income Latino neighbourhood and is told through the eyes of an 18-year-old girl destined for greatness. The project comes from Life In Pieces and Secrets & Lies producer Aaron Kaplan and is currently on the hunt for a writer.
