It’s a sheer coincidence that the Congress High Command announced the list of party panels for Goa just two days after the Goa Forward Party delegation joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Indore. For a moment, political observers were left to wonder how party leader Venugopal came out with the list of party functionaries in the reconstituted panels. Sources, however, ruled out any link between GF’s participation in the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the reconstituted panels, with a senior leader saying the names were recommended to the Party High Command some time ago.
