The Goa Veterans football team secured their place in the finals of the 2nd Asia Veterans Football Tournament, held in Malaysia and organized by the Malaysia Veterans Football Club.
The journey to the finals has been nothing short of impressive for the Goa Veterans. In the semi-finals, they delivered a stellar performance, defeating the Chennai Veterans with a commanding scoreline of 3-0.
Their path to the finals was paved with victories, starting with a dominant performance in the pre-quarterfinal match against Indonesia, where they emerged victorious with a 3-0 win. Jerose Oliveira netted two goals, while Pele added another to the tally.
In the quarterfinals, the Goa Veterans continued their winning streak, defeating the Royal Tigers Kerala with a resounding 4-0 victory. Satan Furtado led the charge with a remarkable hat-trick, while Jeetu Palkar added another goal to the scoreboard.
Now, all eyes are on the highly anticipated final showdown between the Goa Veterans and the Malaysia Veterans. All matches of the tournament have been held at the Arena IRC Negeri Sembilan Football Ground.
