A fine hat-trick from Flavina Rodrigues enabled Sirvodem Sports Club register a thumping 9-1 win over Goa Untied Sports Academy in the GFA -Vedanta Women’s League match at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
Sirvodem remained unbeaten in the league.
The winners led 5-0 at the break. Sirvodem totally outplayed their opponents in all the department of the game and scored at regular intervals. In the opening minutes, it was a midfield duel but that wasn’t for long as once Sirvodem took control they went all out to get the goals.
Akshata Patil opened the scoring in the 25th minute and then completed her brace at the half hour mark. Flavina Rodrigues added the third in the 38th minute and scored her double in the 45th minute. Karen Estrocio netted the fifth to give them a good advantage at the break.
In the second half the story continued from where they had left. Flavina completed her treble in the 55th minute. Goa United SA managed to pull a goal back through Simran Narvekar in the 59th minute, but Sirvodem weren’t a side who wanted to stop. They kept scoring more as then Daisy Crasto netted two goals in the 67th and 75th minutes.
Meloshka Carvalho, who came in as a second half substitute in place of Karen also got on the score sheet in the 85th minute to complete the rout.
