Amongst the remarkable victories, Navneet Nasnodkar clinched the MS 35+ title after a riveting match against Dr Mihir Desai, while Betty Dourado emerged victorious in the WS 35+ category in the Singles matches at the State Masters (Veterans) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2023-24 took place at the Indoor Stadium, Campal.
Other notable winners include Amit Kakkar in MS 40+, Parag Chauhan in MS 45+, Vineeta Adpaikar in WS 45+, Dr Sandeep Fowkar in MS 50+, Marina Albuquerque in WS 50+, Volusiano Dourado in MS 55+, Felipe Barbosa in MS 60+, Dr Manju Khandeparkar in WS 60+, Tanaji Sawant in MS 65+, and Dr Satish Kudchadkar in MS 70+.
The State Ranking for Masters (Veterans) has been organised by Panjim Panthers Club and Evening Badminton Group, in collaboration with the Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, and is a Selection tournament for the prestigious 46th Indian Masters Nationals to be held in March in Haryana.
