Panaji: The 2nd edition of the Justice G.D. Kamat Memorial National Moot Court Competition is being hosted by VM Salgaocar College of Law (VMSCL) in Panaji from February 9th to 11th, 2024. Inaugurated by Advocate General of Goa Adv. Devidas Pangam, the event features 24 teams from prestigious institutions across India.
Principal Dr. Shaber Ali underscored the significance of moot court competitions in a law student’s curriculum. The competition spans three days, concluding with the final round and Valedictory Ceremony. Cash prizes of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 will be awarded to the winning team and runners-up, respectively, along with trophies and certificates. Additionally, cash prizes of Rs. 15,000 each will be given for Best Mooter, Best Researcher, and Best Memorial.
Organized by VMSCL in collaboration with the Justice G. D. Kamat Memorial Trust, the competition honors the legacy of Late Justice G. D. Kamat and has quickly gained prominence since its inception in 2023.
