Dalgado Konkani Akademi (DKA) will organise a condolence meeting in memory of well-known Konkani writers Fr Vasco Do Rego, Dr Edward de Lima, Fr Jose Almiro De Sousa, Soter Barreto and Caitano Pereira whose deaths have shaken the entire literary community. The meeting, presided by DKA President Vincy Quadros will be held on February 25 at the Art & Culture Department Multipurpose Hall, Patto, Panaji Goa at 4.30 p.m. DKA Secretary William Fernandes and Treasurer Celso Fernandes will introduce the writers.There will be a separate condolence meeting in memory of Fr Conceicao D’Silva, a great lover of Konkani and Vice President of DKA on Wednesday, March 3 at the Conference Hall of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
DKA appeals to all Konkani lovers, writers and well-wishers to attend both the condolence meetings and pay tributes to these great sons of Goa and Konkani.
