MARGAO: Nuvem Sports Club made short work of SCC Loutolim 4-0 to move to the semi-finals of the All Goa inter-village Seraulim Panchayat Cup football tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim, Panchayat ground, Seraulim.
Both teams started on an attacking note however it was Nuvem SC who first opened their account in the 21st minute when their defender handled the ball in the penalty area and Aloysius Fernandes who was trusted with the kick scored to give Nuvem the lead.
In the second half, Nuvem scored their second goal through Santan Colaco in the 34th minute when he ran down the left flank solo and shot at long range to find the net as the shot was misjudged by the Loutolim goalkeeper.
Nuvem added two more quick goals in the 47th and 52nd minutes through Aloysius Fernandes' penalty kick and then through Melvin Fernandes when he shot before the goalkeeper could intercept the ball.
Nuvem Sports club will now clash with Cuncolim Union in the semi-finals slated for January 25.
