To file police plaint against ABVP students today

Labelling the ABVP sponsored ruckus in St Xavier’s College as a cowardly act, President of the State National Students Union of India (NSUI), Naushad Choudhary on Sunday said that NSUI Goa will file a complaint with the police against the ABVP students who disrupted the classes in the college.
“We have details of students who went to St Xavier’s college and unlawfully disrupted the classes. We will file a complaint against the students on Monday. We will not keep quiet and appeal to all students to stay united and throw such people with disrupted agenda out,” Choudhary said, addressing the media in Panaji.
Choudhary said NSUI Goa strongly condemns this act done by the ABVP Goa who disrupted the classes, practicals and forced and threatened the students to join their protest.
“There are 2000 students studying in St Xavier’s college but only three students joined the ABVP protest. Among the ABVP group who barged in the campus five were outsiders and two came from Maharashtra. Who gave them the right to enter the campus of the college? It was an internal matter and they should have resolved it with the students of the college and the management,” he said.
On Saturday, a group of ABVP students, mostly from other institutes, trespassed into the St Xavier’s College campus and barged into the classes, banged the doors, shouted political slogans and asked the teachers to stop the classes while intimidating the students to join their protest. They also abused the Principal, administrator, faculty members and the staff of the college.
Speaking further the NSUI President said St Xavier’s College does not discriminate between students in the college.
“Maximum students who are studying in the college are Hindus. RSS knows that Xavier’s is a top notch college and since they are not getting support there they want to divide the student community in terms of fake nationalism,” Choudhary said.
“We NSUI Goa fully support the management of handling the issue and staying united in fighting the hatred ideology of the ABVP,” he added.
