Chief Officer Y B Tawde said, “As per the instructions of the municipal chairperson, I have not relieved engineer Rajesh Ravi Desai from office. But today I came across the joining letter submitted by engineer Prabhudesdai. Let us wait and see what happens by tomorrow.”
Sources in the know said the ruling body is working on an alternate plan in the event the government tries to bulldoze its way in favour of Vikas, who was shunted out of MMC just around a month ago. “We have an alternate plan if he insists on returning back to the civic body”, sources in the MMC informed.
Commenting on the controversy, DMA Elvis Gomes, who had issued the transfer order, told The Goan that the transfer order is final and there’s not going to be any re-think on the issue.
