Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim on Friday conducted radiology test on deceased Bismarque Dias as per the directions of the High Court of Bombay at Goa.

It may be recalled that the report of the HC-instituted committee comprising Dr Dinesh Rao, Head of Forensic Medicine Department, Bangalore and Goa Medical College Dean Dr Pradeep Naik, Mario had said that while the body was in advanced state of decomposition, a radiological test may be feasible.

The report of the two-member committee stated that Bismarque’s body, which has been lying at the GMC morgue for over two years now, showed signs of mummification with black and white molds infesting the whole surface of the body.

“Going with this condition, we would like to state that the body is unfit for further autopsy examination. However, radiological examination is feasible,” the report stated.

The High Court on Wednesday had accordingly accepted the state’s submission in favour of a radiological test.
