Congress Legislative Party on Friday sought to clarify that the party has not been making any attempts to destabilise the present coalition government.
Dismissing the charge levelled against Congress by the BJP state executive committee, leader of Opposition Chandrakant “Babu” Kavlekar said, “Congress is not making any attempts at destabilising the government. If the Congress had made any such efforts, the government would have collapsed. We have not done that.”
He further explained that it is the disgruntled MLAs from the ruling party who want the government to be destabilised. “Their over-eloquent MLAs are being suspected of destabilising the government out of the fear of Manohar Parrikar,” the CLP leader said.
He was briefing media about CLP meeting held on Friday to discuss the failure of the State government on the issue of development.
