The Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria, fondly known as Kottiachem Fest, will be celebrated at Candelaria Chapel in Pilerne on February 19.
The Novena to celebrate the Feast commenced on February 10 at 5 pm with the Rosary, followed by the Mass and Salve.
Masses on the Feast Day will be at 7 am, 9.30 am and at 12 noon. During the entire Novena, the Salvation History in the Bible is being highlighted by Fr Mariano D’Costa, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate. He is assisted by Fr Aaron Magalhlaes, Fr Joephil Dias and Fr Aleston Dias.
Fr Gabriel Coutinho, Parish priest of Navelim, will be the main celebrant for the Feast High Mass at 9.30 am.
Fr Derick Fernandes, Parish Priest of Pilerne Church, has requested the faithful to follow all guidelines issued by the church while attending the Mass during Novena and Feast Day.
