A three-member family had a miraculous escape after the house in which they were staying collapsed at Colmorod-Navelim in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The trio, including a minor child, was rushed to Hospicio hospital for treatment. Fortunately for the Ismael Syed family, the debris of the wall landed outside the house, as they escaped with minor injuries.
The trio were sleeping inside the house when the wall gave in.
Francis Vaz, owner of the house, informed that the incident occurred at around 4.30 am when the wall collapsed, injuring the three persons, “There was collection of water near the house due to the heavy rains. The walls got soaked while the soil got washed out,” Vaz said.
