PANAJI
Nearly 10 months after his arrest in the high-profile murder of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, prime accused Sudhir Sangwan was on Friday granted conditional bail by the District & Sessions Court. Other conditions include not leaving the State till further Court orders, not threatening witnesses or tampering with evidence, etc.
The CBI, which filed over a 1,000 pages chargesheet within three months of the offense last year, has already submitted to the Court that their investigation is still open. The 60-odd pages of the forensic report from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory at Chandigarh ascertained Phogat was drugged.
