Where are the 296 closed circuit TV (CCTV) surveillance cameras proposed to cover entire Fatorda constituency in 2017?
Nothing has been heard of the Rs 3.68 crore CCTV project proposed for Fatorda under former Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik’s MPLAD scheme after then South Goa district Collector Anjali Sehrawat scrapped MLA Vijai Sardesai’s ambitious project in mid-March 2018, launched in the constituency during his stint as Minister in the Manohar Parrikar government.
The project was scrapped by the district Collector by cancelling the administrative approval and expenditure sanction for the project for want of codal formalities.
