Guess why the Congress leadership is taking time to constitute the Benaulim block committee till date? There ought to be no dearth of Congressmen willing to take charge of the block, more so after the Congress made its presence felt in Benaulim in the 2022 Assembly polls. Sources, however, say the party leadership is treading a cautious path.
Reason: A number of former AAP leaders and workers from Benaulim had embraced the party after former AAP Goa Convenor Elvisbab Gomes joined the Congress. It’s unclear whether the party on the job to strike a balance between the old timers and the new entrants. Wait and watch.
