In the third round of the Goa Premier Division League cricket tournament organized by the Goa Cricket Association, Chowgule Sports Club registered a massive 125-run victory over Dempo Cricket Club. The three-day match at the GCA Academy ground in Porvorim concluded within two days. At the GCA Academy ground in Sanguem, Geno Sports Club secured a big first-innings lead of 106 runs against Margao Cricket Club. At the NAPEX ground in Sankhali, Salgaocar Cricket Club piled up a huge 530 runs in the first innings. In reply, Panaji Gymkhana reached a promising 112 for 1.

Dominant win for Chowgule

Chowgule Cricket Club achieved an expected victory over Dempo Cricket Club. Resuming from 16 for 3 on the first day, Chowgule were bowled out for 150 in 34.5 overs in their second innings. For Dempo, Abhinav Tejrana took 5 wickets for 48 runs. Chasing a target of 268, Dempo were bundled out for just 142 in 28.4 overs. Abhinav Tejrana top-scored with 37, while Snehal Kauthankar added 33. For Chougule, off-spinner Shubham Desai claimed 6 for 55 and Darshan Misal took 4 for 71.

Geno is close to first-innings points

Geno Sports Club is almost certain of first-innings points against MCC. The match appears headed for a draw. Resuming from 28 without loss, Geno produced a strong batting performance. Manthan Khutkar scored a timely 94, captain Samar Dubhashi contributed 77, and Atharva added 52. Useful contributions from Manish Kakode (38) and Veer Yadav (35) helped Geno secure a century lead. For MCC, Aryan Narvekar took 4 wickets for 59. In their second innings, MCC scored 49 for 1 after losing Adeep Miskin and are still trailing by 57 runs.

Salgaocar's mountain of runs

Against Panjim Gymkhana, Salgaocar Cricket Club crossed the 500-run mark after resuming from 318 for 4. Captain Yash Kasvankar missed his double century by just nine runs, scoring 191 off 314 balls with 17 fours and 2 sixes. Lower-order batter Rithwik Naik remained unbeaten on 54. For Panjim Gymkhana, Amit Yadav and Mohit Redkar took three wickets each. In reply, Panjim Gymkhana made 112 for 1, with Ishan Gadekar (54) and Suyash Prabhudesai (58 not out) putting together a solid opening stand.
