Trio had left home on their own and boarded a train
MARGAO
Investigations into the case of the three missing minor boys from Majorda earlier this week have shown that they had left home on their own and were travelling by train to Kerala.
The boys have now been reunited with their parents after the Child Welfare Committee handed over their custody. Before they were traced, the trio kept the Colva police on their toes as officers tried to track their movements across several locations, until they were finally found in Kozhikode, Kerala.
The incident took place on November 10 when the boys went missing. The mother of one of the boys lodged a complaint, fearing her son had been kidnapped by unknown persons.
Colva Police Inspector Vikram Naik and his team, along with the parents, immediately began searching the areas of Majorda, Calata, and Utorda. The police also checked CCTV footage at the Margao Konkan Railway Station, where all three boys were seen.
With help from the Railway Protection Force, police traced the boys to the Child Welfare Committee centre at Velimadukunnu in Kozhikode. A Colva police team travelled there, took custody of the boys, and brought them back to Goa.
The boys were then produced before the Child Welfare Committee in Margao, which, after speaking to them, handed them over to their respective parents on Thursday.
