PANAJI
Aam Aadmi Party has taken strong objection to the Goa University’s decision to conduct examinations in offline mode in the current pandemic situation.
It may be recalled that the Registrar of Goa University has issued a circular stating that final exams will be conducted offline and made the managements of the institutes responsible to enforce the pandemic precautions like use of face masks, providing sanitizers, keeping social distance, sanitizing the rooms and halls.
AAP spokesperson Surel Tilve pointed out that students do not have time to adjust to the changed scenario and further argued that having lectures online but examinations offline do not make sense.
He pointed out that students are complaining that the offline examinations are scheduled around the same time they used to be conducted earlier even though the classes started very late in online mode and the students do not get sufficient time to study to answer the exams.
